August 30, the little town of Sturgis, Mi. buried a fallen soldier, SSGT. Rodgers. This young man of 28 years left behind a beautiful wife and a 3.5 year old son. He gave his life for our freedom. The Patriot Guard Riders were there and orchestrated the processionals, providing much needed leadership, experience and lots and lots of flags! We had over 1000 bikes show up. It was an awesome display of patriotism. Unfortunately, the wackos from Kansas, the Westboro Baptists were there also. All fou  more...

my prayers go to his family. thanks for bringing up thisup it stills baffalles me why they are so full of hate for our soldiers, when the ones they should be showing their anger at are the ones who caused over 3000 deaths 9/11/2001.

God Bless the Soldier and his family. They are in my prayers.
Now...someone needs to remind those rude, obnoxious a$$holes that if it were not for the fallen soldier and all the other "bad" soldiers, they would not be able to demonstrate how ungrateful they are for their freedom! Someone send them to Iraq or some third world country and let them protest there!

I stand proudly with ya'll. I work for a State Veterans Cemetery, and we have a no protesting/restraining order with 500 ft. of the entrance of the cemetery, which puts those crazies on the other side of the highway. Also note that the other side of the highway belongs to a redneck, round them' up and shoot em' dead cowboy, United States Veteran.

Hope its not just a gesture of Patriotism or what you can show the radicals. The only reason for turning up at anyone's funeral is to "Show Respect" for the person and for his family. I think such things are sacred and i think it was a well old saying not to mock the dead.

Have our moments oevr here with disrespect to familt funerals - often just by yobs who hang by the gates to throw insults and vile comments and even bricks and a full length of timber through the window of the hea  more...
